We met up with another family here for dinner so we had 5 kids with a range of ages from 1-10 years old. They were happy to accommodate our large party with highchairs. Almost immediately we were put off  when my friend carried his 2 year old to the bar to order a drink and the bartender crossly told him, “Get her out of here, that the bar is for 21 and older.” I mean, she’s two! If he hadn’t been waiting for us, he would have left. We ordered. The waitress was tolerant of the chaos that comes with kids, but clearly perturbed and did nothing to make them feel welcome. Mr Mountaineer had the Classic Burger, Eleanor had the Mini Burger and fries and I had the Bison Short Ribs. The kids menu has good prices, but very typical “kid food”. We like to see the kids menu have similar flavors to the regular menu. The burgers were good, but the short ribs were just okay. I’d like to see more flavor for $24 an entree.

• Families with older kids.
• Large groups with a reservation.

Not Recommended For: 

• Families with younger children.
• Anyone who wants to order a drink with kid in hand. And we know parents of toddlers need a drink.
