Never Lose a Glove Again

Getting the family dressed and ready to play outside in the Colorado’s winter is no easy task! Especially when you can’t find everything!

Our kids leave trails of items throughout the house, but the easiest thing to lose is our gloves. So what’s the secret to never lose a glove again?

Checkout our guide on How to Dress Your Kids for Skiing or Riding This Winter if you aren’t sure what layers your toddler or teen needs to handle cold winter days outside in Colorado.

Gloves on a Leash

Here’s a cheap and easy trick to never lose a glove again! Attach them to each other and through your coat. For my daughter’s first birthday, a friend gave us some adorable mittens from a little boutique. What a great idea! But for that much money? I don’t think so.

DIY Mittens with String

There are plenty of DIY options out there that require sewing or complicated steps. This is super fast and easy and you probably have everything you need in your house already. So it’s FREE!

What you need:

Yarn, String, Extra Shoelaces, or 550 Cord.

Childproof Safety Pins

Directions:

Cut string to size so it fits through the sleeves of the jacket and sticks out by a few inches each side. You could also measure the wingspan of your child (if they’ll cooperate) and add a couple inches for comfort.

Tie knots in the ends of the string and safety pin the knots to the inside of the gloves. And You’re Done!

OR JUST BUY THEM

Hold’Em One Piece Mitten/Glove Clips for Kids/Toddler –Fully Adjustable to fit kids of all sizes. Keep the Leash as they outgrow the mittens.

Shop for various pre-made mittens with string on Amazon.

There are so many adorable mittens out there for you to choose from!
