When most resorts are doing away with lodges in favor of high priced restaurants, Keystone is taking the opposite stance by providing a space where parents and kids can play all day. When we started skiing again 4 months after our oldest daughter was born, we spent a lot of ski days taking turns skiing and watching her. This is difficult to do in a restaurant or coffee shop where you need to make purchases every hour to justify your table! And then we found Kidtopia Headquarters! 

Kidtopia Headquarters is located on the West side of River Run Village. It’s an indoor play area stocked full with toys and games appropriate for babies through elementary age kids. We’ve played here so many times over the last 3 seasons and they have so many great activities all year long to keep our kids entertained. 

Now that our 3 year old skis, this is a fabulous place to hang out once she is done for the day or or when Mom and Dad are taking turns on the slopes. It is so nice to have somewhere warm and indoors when the weather outside is chilly or snowy or windy. There is also an outdoor playground and ice skating rink right outside Kidtopia Headquarters that our kids love if it’s not too cold. As you will see. Keystone offers dozens of fun activities in Winter and Summer!

Most families know Kidtopia for Keystone’s incredible Snow Fort located at the top of the River Run Gondola. Every year, they outdo themselves with an awesome snow fort including tunnels and slides for kids of all ages. It is right near beginner terrain, so great for a fun break from the slopes or as an attraction all by itself.

Mondays: 

• Winter Movie Matinee for Kids at 4:30pm at Kidtopia Headquarters

Tuesdays: 

• Listen and Learn: Music 101 from 10-11am at Kidtopia Headquarters
• Meet the Avy Dog: Learn about Avalanche Rescue at 4:30pm sharp at Kidtopia Headquarters

Wednesdays: 

• Craft-er-noon 1:30-2:30pm at Kidtopia Headquarters

Thursdays: 

• Colorado’s Critters from 1:30-2:30pm at Kidtopia Headquarters
• Cupcakes and Canvas 4:30-5:30pm. Painting Supplies and Cupcakes are provided for $15. RSVP at 970-496-4386. 
• My First Cross Country Ski (December 19th, 2019-March 19th, 2020) 1:30-2:45p Checkin and get fitted at the Nordic Center by 1:30pm. 

Fridays: 

• Super Snowy Science 1-2pm at Kidtopia Headquarters
• Riperoo’s Milkshake Social (December 6th, 2019 – March 27th, 2020) 4:30-5:30pm at Mountain House

Saturdays: 

• Craft-er-noon and Face Painting 12-2:30pm at Kidtopia Headquarters
• Riperoo’s Village Parade begins at 4pm at Gondola Plaza 

Sundays: 

• Bingo and Face Painting 12-2:30pm at Kidtopia Headquarters
• Fireworks Show at 7pm on Saturdays from Nov 23-Mar 14th and 8pm March 21-28th. Best viewing location is the Gondola Plaza in River Run Village. 

Everyday:

• Cookie Time at 4pm in Activities and Dining Office
